Our Mission, Our Vision, and Our Story
Our Mission
At Healing the Father, our mission is to support men in healing from the emotional and spiritual impacts of abortion. We are dedicated to providing a safe, compassionate space where men can explore forgiveness, find peace, and regain a sense of purpose through our resources and guidance.
Our Vision
We envision a world where every man affected by abortion has the opportunity to heal and grow. By fostering a community of empathy and understanding, we aim to break the silence surrounding men’s experiences with abortion and create pathways to healing that empower individuals and communities.
At Healing the Father, our focus is two-fold. The primary aim is to reach men who have experienced abortion and are carrying emotional wounds as a result. We work closely with these men, providing one-on-one guidance and support to help them take actionable steps toward healing and peace. According to “Healing the Father: Second Edition,”
…there are well over 44,000,000 men in the USA with abortion experience. Many of them carry an abortion wound from this past experience.
Our mission is to bring these wounds to light and offer a path to healing through understanding, forgiveness, and community support. We believe in the power of shared experiences and are dedicated to helping men find their peace and purpose.

What We Believe
We believe in the miracle of forgiveness offered by God and through His son, Jesus Christ.
We believe Psalm 103:11-12 For His unfailing love toward those who fear Him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. He has removed our sins as far from us as the East is from the West. (LASB, Second Edition).
We believe Matthew 26: 28 where Jesus said for this is my blood, which confirms the covenant between God and His people. It is poured out as a sacrifice to forgive the sins of many.

Chris Rainey
Chris Rainey’s Journey
A Personal Story: Chris Rainey’s journey through the emotional impact of abortion began in his twenties when he and his partner faced an unplanned pregnancy. Influenced by societal narratives and personal circumstances, they made the decision to abort. Chris describes this period as a time when he was “abortion-wounded,” not fully realizing the emotional toll it would take until years later.
A Turning Point: The turning point came when Chris was invited to volunteer at a pregnancy center, where he encountered the opportunity to reflect on his past decisions. This experience led him to a post-abortion study focusing on forgiveness and understanding, which sparked his desire to help others in similar situations.
Writing for Healing: Realizing the lack of resources specifically for men, Chris embarked on a journey to write “Healing the Father Second Edition.” The book combines personal stories, insights from health professionals, and practical steps for men to reach and maintain peace with their past. This work became a cornerstone for the ministry and has helped countless men find healing and forgiveness.
Our Mission: At Healing the Father, we recognize the need for tailored support for men affected by abortion. Chris’s experiences have shaped our mission to provide empathetic guidance and community support. We believe in the power of shared experiences and the importance of addressing the emotional wounds that many men carry.
Our Impact: Since its inception, Healing the Father has reached men across the United States and internationally, including countries like Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and France. Through mentorship, resources, and community engagement, the ministry continues to expand its reach and impact, helping men find peace and healing.
